French Black Copper Marans
French Black Copper Marans are a wonderful dual purpose heritage breed.
They lay beautiful dark brown speckled eggs and are flavorful meat birds. They are not typically known for going broody, however our hens seem to really love being mothers, so you may get good mama’s too.
This breed is friendly, lively, good foragers, and very tolerant of all temperatures. They are a great fit for homesteads with children.
In the Spring and early Summer we sell unsexed chicks, pullets, cockerels, and laying hens.
